As a member of Project Adventure, I poured my creativity and passion into "The Hidden Temple." Our team embarked on a collective mission to hone our integration skills, and my contribution was a unique level that pushed the boundaries of imagination. Through the power of file-sharing, effective communication, and unyielding determination, we combined our individual efforts to construct a sprawling, immersive world that exceeded our wildest expectations.
The Entrance
When I designed the entrance to the Hidden Temple, I wanted to create a sense of mystery and intrigue for players. Instead of a straightforward doorway, I used leading lines, strategic geometry placement, and lighting to draw players towards a campfire in the lower right corner of the level. It was here that players would begin their ascent towards the upper doorway and the ultimate adventure that awaited them inside. This journey to the entrance was a crucial part of the experience, setting the stage for what the players would encounter throughout the rest of the temple.
The Interior (3-1-2)
Designing the interior of the Hidden Temple was a thrilling challenge for me. I wanted to create a door puzzle that players would have to push a sequence of buttons in the correct order. The catch? Each button was strategically placed in varying degrees of difficulty. Some were easy to access, while others required more acrobatic maneuvers or careful strategy. As players progressed through the room, the challenge increased until the buttons were pressed in the correct order. The result was a truly engaging and rewarding experience that tested players' wits and skills to the max.
The Finale
For the finale of the Hidden Temple, I wanted to create a truly immersive and unforgettable experience for players. As they exited the level, they would be met with a breathtaking scene - a vast canyon surrounded by majestic waterfalls. To really sell the illusion, we added realistic sound effects that made players feel like they were truly surrounded by rushing water. To reach their final destination, players would have to cross a precarious rope bridge.
